Yes, the cold temperatures (-5 degrees F) came with a deep blue sky. The wind hadn’t started and the snow from earlier in the week was still piled up. When the eagles landed, they knocked the snow off their branches. This was about 400 feet from a friend’s house in Eagle River , WI.
